What do I need?
800 g Blade Steak
(Diced)
¾ cup Plain Flour
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Onion
(Diced)
50 g French Onion Soup Mix
400 g Potato
(Washed and halved)
2 cup Water
How do I make it?
  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Combine flour, beef and season well in a bowl.
  3. Add to pan over medium heat with oil and onion.
  4. Brown meat for approximately 8 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Boil potatoes in salted for 15 minutes, or until cooked.
  6. Place cooked meat into baking dish with french onion soup mix and add water. Cover and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. If mixture dries out ensure to add more water, 1/4 cup at a time.
  8. Mash potatoes.
Serve braised steak with mash.
